President Obama to Address the Nation Tonight at 8 PM EST on All Networks

Obama is scheduled to hold a prime-time news conference this evening on all major broadcast and cable news networks.
Tonight at 8 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, President Barack Obama will be holding a prime-time news conference that will air on all major broadcast and cable news networks, according to The New York Times. The conference will be held to allow the president to address the nation so that he can explain to the people why he is making certain decisions in regards to the economy.
Obama’s economic agenda will be the primary focus of tonight’s news conference but he is also expected to address international issues as well as the highly controversial bonuses that were handed out by the American International Group
, more commonly referred to as AIG.
Tonight’s news conference will be the latest in a series of television appearances by President Obama. Recently, he has addressed the nation in a prior news conference, appeared on "The Tonight Show" with Jay Leno and has been interviewed by CBS correspondent Steve Kroft on "60 Minutes."
White House press secretary Robert Gibbs addressed the upcoming Presidential address yesterday by saying, “The president believes that a continued dialogue with the American people about where we are and where we’re going is necessary, certainly in times like this, to give people a sense of what we’re doing and a sense of where we’re going.”
