The 2009 Open de Andalucia will see a host of top class golfers flock to Seville with the hope of winning the event.

Denmark's Soren Hansen is the favourite to emerge victorious on the final day and is a good price at 16-1 with Paddy Power.

Spain native Miguel Angel Jimenez is close behind on 18-1 and even though he wants to perform well on his return to his homeland, he knows that it is a difficult course to master.

"In my opinion the course at the Real Club de Golf de Sevilla lives up to its regal name. It really is one of the best golf courses in Spain," said Jimenez.

"It's a very challenging course with lots of bunkers and water. You need to use every club in the bag, but it's a very fair course and rewards all round good play."

England's Simon Dyson is third favourite and is priced at 20-1, while Scotland's Colin Montgomerie is on 40-1 for what will be his 500th European Tour tournament.

Republic of Ireland duo Paul McGinley and Peter Lawrie are both priced at 100-1 and they will be looking to perform well in a tournament that has been going since 1992.

Last year the course record was set by Ignacio Garrido, who hit a 63 in the second round, and he looks to be a good bet this year at 40-1.

The weather is expected to be sunny and windy, which suggests players will have to make sure that they hit their shots well away from the six water hazards that populate the Jose Maria Olazabal-designed course.
