Sunderland face Aston Villa in their next Premier League game determined to extend their good run of recent results, which has seen them lose just one of their last five games.
The Black Cats have done very well to climb up to the 13th spot on the league table with 23 points from 21 games. Last week they were held to a 1-1 draw by Middlesbrough after Kenwyne Jones scored late on to cancel out Afonso Alves’ first league goal since October.
Aston Villa are firmly entrenched on the 4th spot on the league table and manager Martin O’Neill will hope his side can scale great heights at the end of the season.
Villa are unbeaten in their last nine league games. Last week they beat a spirited West Brom 2-1.
